Who can apply
- All applicants must be Australian Residents
- Suncorp Personal Deposit Accounts can only be opened by customers for personal use
- An account may be opened by two individuals as joint applicants
- At least one of the two individuals who apply for a joint account must be 55 years of age or over
What is going to happen
- This application form takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
- To activate your account you must present your completed application and your 100 points of Identification to your local Suncorp Branch.
- Once we receive this information one of our banking specialists will begin processing your account application.

- Check that you have read and understood the Product Information Document. You should print a copy of these documents and retain a copy for your own records before you sign the Application Form
(112k PDF)- You should then print it off, complete and take it to one of our Suncorp Branches, Agencies or Suncorp / GIO Branches (To download the form you require Adobe Acrobat Reader.)
- You will need to take in suitable identification to the branch or agency in order for us to verify you.
- Alternatively if you do not have a printer please visit one of our branches with your suitable identification where our staff can complete the application for you.
What happens next?
When we receive your completed application we will:
- Provide you with the details of your account number and other important necessary details.
- Ensure you receive a Product Disclosure Statement / Product Information Document for the 55 Plus Account.
- Ensure you understand the Product Features, Term and Conditions and Fees and Charges relating to the account.
Your card and PIN will be mailed to you separately within 7 days of your account opening.
